engineered by Scott Andrews @ the Silent Barn’s Future 86 Studios
mixed by Scott Andrews & J Boxer

lyrics: i know there’s a place where there is freedom/i know there’s a place where we can go/look into the bright eyes/and see the sun rise/look at me because i know a place where we can be free/look into your heart and we’ll never be apart when we’re free/look into the bright eye of the midnight dream/pretty soon it’s spring/get into your head/stop hiding in your bed/it’s time to get ready for your new life/it’s gonna be better (and free)/you’re gonna love it too

from the upcoming EP “FRIENDSONGS”, featuring seven covers of J BOXER’S favorite songwriters, whom also happen to be his friends.

Video – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GgJ-pSmC6Eg

‘Stand Still’ features an extended cast of ‘friends’ including the vocals of close friend Micky Green, the highly respected Sydney-born-Paris-based pop singer whose sweeping melodies add bubblegum sweetness to an otherwise high-tempo single. The final mix also comes courtesy of James David, one half of mysterious UK duo Snakehips. Old friends of Micky’s, Jimmy and Hugo have also chosen to work with another familiar face for the official music video in Director Dave Ma, the creative force behind the ARIA 2013 nominated clip for much lauded single ‘Clair De Lune’.

‘Stand Still’ will be available with three incredible remixes, featuring Sydney’s Wave Racer, Future Classic alumni (and Lithuania’s Producer of the Year) Mario Basanov, and New York’s Com Truise, who brings his synth-heavy sounds to the table.

French Horn Rebellion & Savoir Adore – The Fire

Winter is here. As the snow falls and icicles form we need to keep a fire in our hearts. We pack into cozy bars to get warm and dance by the firelight to remember we’re alive. In “The Fire” Savoir Adore’s forest fantasy pop blends with French Horn Rebellion’s hot dancefloor beats. The two bands, related by marriage for the last few years, have finally collaborated to keep you warm all season long. Make like David of FHR and Deidre of Savoir Adore and cuddle up under the disco ball, dancing the night away.

Lyrics –

Chorus:
Hey, fight for a rainy day
Never even stays the same
There's fire in our hearts today

Verse 1:
Is it beautiful, if it's made of snow?
Is it paradise, if all you feel is ice?
I see a light in you, it's like a crystal blue
and when you hold my hand, I feel the spark again
I put a fire in your heart, it puts a fire in my heart
there's fire in our hearts, there's fire in our hearts

Verse 2:
Let's take a ride and get our body's high.
Just a little light will make you feel alright
Let's make a truce, on the sun lit dew
And when you hold my hand, I feel the spark again.
I put a fire in your heart, it puts a fire in my heart
there's fire in our hearts, there's fire in our hearts

(Chorus)
