Dallas Observer Music Awards 2011

Well nominations were announced a few weeks back, but now the ballot is live for the Dallas Observer Music Awards, and we are honored to be nominated for an award for ‘Best Blog’ along with some great other blogs. If you are a loyal reader/fan/etc of the blog and concert calendar here, you can go vote for us right here as well as vote in a ton of other categories as well. If you are the texting type or have unlimited texts, you can vote for us by texting ‘DAL187′ to 61721. If you want to encourage your friends, family, acquaintances to check out the site and to vote as well, that will not be discouraged. Once again, click here for the online ballot. You can also check out all of the nominees and info if you pick up this week’s Dallas Observer which is available for free all over Dallas.

As an additional note, just as last year, the Observer is putting on a showcase on October 15th in Deep Ellum with The Toadies, Old 97′s, Centro-Matic and Sarah Jaffe as well as a ton of other bands, which should be a great event. Check out all of the details for the showcase here.

Thanks to everyone for nominating us and for reading and hopefully everyone enjoys what we put together here just as much as we enjoy putting it together. Thanks for everyone’s support.
