Oh dear lord yes, above is a teaser video of the ‘Chunk in the studio recording their new album Majesty Shredding, which now has a release date of September 14, 2010, and the cover art and tracklist are included below. This is their first new album in nine years, I am beyond pumped up about this, and the teaser is so tantalizingly sweet and short at the same time. Anyway, additionally, they have announced that they will make their first TV appearance since 1994 on Jimmy Fallon’s show on September 20th, which is right in their run of tour dates around the release of the album, which I will also include below. Superchunk has also joined the ranks of the twitterers as well. And finally, I found this when watching the other video, a live clip of Superchunk dropping classics “Cast Iron” and “The First Part” from the XX Merge festival last year, in case you forgot for a second that they still know how to rock.
