New Music Tuesday [March 9th, 2010] – Frightened Rabbit, Gorillaz, Pavement and Hendrix

Quite a few good releases hitting the streets this week, notably Frightened Rabbit’s new one The Winter of Mixed Drinks. There is an absurd amount of reissues this week as Jimi Hendrix’s entire catalog on CD and Vinyl bein reissued plus the new unreleased “studio” album Valleys of Neptune being released. You also have the Pavement greatest hits collection hitting as well as low price vinyl versions of their back catalog. You also even have the James Mercer/Danger Mouse collective Broken Bells releasing their selt-titled album, which is Amazon MP3 deal of the day for $4.99 today. You also have Emanuel & The Fear releasing their full length debut, which I have listened to and absolutely love, and is one of my sleeper records of the year.
