The Minor Leagues – This Story Is Old, I Know, But It Goes On

Got this full album a little while back, and wanted to spread a little word on these guys from Cincinnati. They definitely have a pop leaning on a lot of things, and a kind of mix of kitsch and pop with some solid songs and hooks thrown in there. It is definitely a fun album, fairly upbeat, but also with a lot of variety, with some more rock aspects, and then with some more old school doo-wop backing vocals and doo-doo-doos. Plus you have to love the 80s influence on “Travel Agent”, which is also a song that has that epic long winded outro that is always a good way to win me over. Good album all around, so check these guys out and give them a listen.
