Yo La Tengo – And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside Out [Throwback Thursday]

Posted January 14th, 2010 · Artists: Yo La Tengo

Well in honor of the year turning over to 2010 I thought I would look back at what was coming out in the early months of the year 2000, now a decade behind us, and I came across one of my favorite, this February 2000 release from Yo La Tengo. Yo La Tengo are always the master of the chilled out lounge jams juxtaposed with Indie rock outs, as well indicated by my two selections from this album below. I think this album definitely trended more into the lounge jam category, but that is one of those things they do so well, and they managed to include a lot of different elements in there along with the chill stuff to make it all work great together. So enjoy taking this look back with me to what we were jamming with 10 years ago. Additionally, this is also timely because the greatness of Yo La Tengo is coming here to Dallas to play the Granada on January 30th. Click here for ticket info.
