I am a week late, but every Thursday from today until June 25, the DMA puts on a free jazz concert at the Ross Avenue Plaza (with the huge red metal sculpture).  Just show up with or without a blanket, a picnic, beer, wine, whatever (drinks can be purchased on site too, apparently) and sit back on the grass and catch some jazz.  Cool thing that Dallas does that I think is regrettably under publicized.
