According to this MTV News story, Death Cab is planning on releasing an EP of “tracks that just didn’t fit the mood and temperment of [Narrow Stairs]“ but which all arose out of the Stairs sessions, called The Open Door.  So, not new stuff, per se – but new to us.  Personally, I’m curious because I like Death Cab, but I feel that Narrow Stairs was about 10 steps backwards from the awesomeness of Plans and Transatlanticism before it.  Hardly a failure, but not their best work.

Anyways, after the jump find Death Cab’s video to the best song on Narrow Stairs, Grapevine Fires, along with spring 2009 tour dates.
