It would be really convenient if you came by this post wondering what is going on in Dallas this weekend.  Convenient because you can find the answer to exactly that question after the jump, with links to buy tickets.  Be warned, however: am I recommending all these concerts?  No.  Have I heard of most of half of these acts?  Not quite.  (Sometimes I pick stuff just based on the band name – something called Dr. Doom v. Dr. Octagon?  Bad ass!)  Are these in fact events going down in Dallas this weekend?  You bet.

Thursday, March 5

Tribute to Queen @ Bass Performance Hall (Ft. Worth) (Daigle: Wut?)
The Gourds / Southern Drive / Boys Named Sue @ Granada

Friday, March 6

Kool Keith (Dr. Doom v. Dr Octagon) @ The Loft
This Providence @ HOB Dallas

Saturday, March 7

Cut/Copy with Matt & Kim @ Granada Theater (Daigle: we will be there!)
Plants & Animals @ Hailey’s (Denton)

Plants & AnimalsBye Bye Bye – From Parc Avenue

Kool Keith is a bad ass.

Dr. Octogon is one of his alter-egos, Dr. Doom another one. Sadly, he seems to have neglected my favorite one, Black Elvis.
