Fleet Foxes – “Mykonos” and “Blue Ridge Mountains” on SNL

In case anyone didn’t catch Fleet Foxes smooth, folky performance of “Mykonos” and “Blue Ridge Mountains” on SNL on Saturday, here you go. Despite the general weirdness of being on SNL while being a very chilled out indie folk band, and also with them not really being a “rock” band, I thought they did really really well and these are both great songs. Having seen them play live several times it was nice to see them really properly represented on the show, where a lot of times bands get a bad mix or sound different. This was very good and very indicative of their live show, aside from Robin Pecknold standing up the whole time, whereas I always remember him being seated for 99% of their live show. “Blue Ridge Mountains” is below:
